- Gas hobs: pan supports and burner caps cleaned in the heated dip tank, and the hob top degreased
- Ceramic hobs: burnt-on marks carefully scraped off, then polished to a streak-free shine
- Induction hobs: cleaned and polished without scratching the glass
- Knobs, controls and the surround cleaned too
4, 5 and 6-ring hobs
A standard 4-ring hob is £20. Bigger range hobs are £25–£30, depending on the size. Most people add the hob to an oven clean so the whole cooker is done in one go.
Hob cleaning questions
Can you get burnt-on marks off a ceramic hob?
In most cases, yes. I use the right scraper and products for glass, so marks come off without scratching. Very old or etched marks can sometimes fade rather than disappear completely, and I'll tell you honestly.
Can I book just a hob clean?
Yes. It's usually added to an oven clean, but just call and I'll fit you in.
